π Ingredients β 1 Ninja Creami pint
- 2 ripe bananas β the riper, the sweeter
- 1 cup milk β whole milk gives the creamiest result
- 2 tbsp heavy cream β optional, but makes it richer
- 1β2 tbsp honey or maple syrup β optional, depending on how sweet your bananas are
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
π©βπ³ Step-by-step
1. Mash the bananas
Peel 2 ripe bananas and mash them very well with a fork until mostly smooth.
For an extra-smooth ice cream, you can blend them instead.
2. Mix everything
Add the mashed bananas to a bowl or blender.
Add:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1β2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- A small pinch of salt
Mix or blend until everything is well combined.
3. Fill the Ninja Creami container
Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint.
β οΈ Do not fill above the MAX FILL line.
Put the lid on securely.
4. Freeze
Place the pint upright in the freezer.
Freeze for at least 24 hours. This is important because the Ninja Creami needs the mixture to be completely frozen.
5. Spin
Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid.
Place the pint into the Ninja Creami outer bowl according to your machine’s instructions.
Select ICE CREAM.
Let the machine complete the cycle.
6. Check the texture
If the ice cream looks crumbly or powdery after the first spin, don’t worryβthis is common.
Add 1β2 tablespoons of milk into the center of the ice cream.
Select RE-SPIN.
If necessary, repeat once more until it’s smooth and creamy.
7. Serve π¦
Scoop immediately and enjoy!
For extra banana flavor, top with:
- Sliced banana π
- Crushed biscuits
- Chocolate chips
- Peanut butter
- Caramel sauce
- Chopped walnuts
β Extra-creamy version
For a richer, more ice-cream-like texture, use:
2 bananas + ΒΎ cup whole milk + ΒΌ cup heavy cream + 2 tbsp sugar/honey + 1 tsp vanilla + pinch of salt.
The combination of ripe bananas + whole milk + a little cream gives you a particularly smooth Ninja Creami result.
π‘ Important tips
- Use very ripe bananas with plenty of brown spots for the best natural sweetness.
- Don’t skip the 24-hour freeze.
- If the first spin is powdery, use RE-SPIN rather than assuming something went wrong.
- Don’t add too much liquid after freezing; start with just 1β2 tablespoons.
- For a stronger banana taste, use 3 bananas and slightly reduce the milk.
- If you’re using very sweet bananas, you may not need any added sugar at all.
